Common to all four workshops

Who is Marta Cirera?

Marta is an international somatic practitioner and equine-assisted coach from Spain, and a biologist by training. She is an ambassador for Somatic Experiencing Spain, has coached with horses in IMD Business School's Women's Leadership Program for more than 10 years, and supports adoptive families through the Kune Association.

Will we ride the horses?

No. There is no riding in any of the workshops.

I've never been near a horse, and I'm a little nervous. Can I still come?

Yes. No horse experience is needed, and nervousness is welcome; it often becomes part of what you learn. You go at your own pace throughout.

How are the horses treated?

The horses are never forced. No whips are used, and a horse is always free to come close or walk away. There are trained handlers and SAGE staff present at each session.

Is it safe?

Yes. Safety comes first in every session. The workshops take place on a farm that has been running for about 53 years, and the handlers have more than 30 years of experience with horses. There is also a fully functioning dispensary on site.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dusty, and closed, flat shoes. Late-November mornings can be cool, so bring a layer, plus a water bottle and sunscreen.

Will photographs or videos be taken?

Only with your consent, which we'll ask for before the workshop. For children, a parent or guardian decides.

Can I attend more than one workshop?

Yes. The Horse as a Mirror and The Art of Leading complement each other well.

Workshop 1: The Horse as a Mirror

Who is this workshop for?

Adults 18 and over who want to understand themselves more honestly. It suits anyone curious about self-awareness, including professionals, young adults, and therapists, coaches and educators who want to experience this work for themselves.

What will I actually do?

You'll spend time with horses in guided activities, then reflect on what came up. You'll explore how you show up (your pace, tension, attention and intention), how to listen inward before acting, and the difference between impulse, habit and what you truly want.

How is it different from The Art of Leading?

The Horse as a Mirror is about you as a person: self-discovery you can carry into relationships and work. The Art of Leading focuses on how you lead others under pressure, runs longer and includes lunch.

Workshop 2: Finding Our Rhythm

Who can attend?

Children aged 4 and over, with one or both parents.

Does "12 participants" mean 12 children or 12 people in total?

This means 12 children accompanied by one parent each. Two parents with one child will be charged 20,000

Can I bring two of my children?

Yes you can, the fee will then change to 20,000

Four hours seems long for a young child. How is the morning paced?

The activities are calm and playful, and paced for children. There are breaks, snacks, and a place to rest.

What if my child doesn't want to go near the horse?

That's fine. Nothing is forced. Your child can watch, stay back or come closer whenever they're ready, and you stay with them throughout.

My child is neurodivergent. Which workshop should we choose?

The Language Beyond Words (November 28) is designed specifically for neurodivergent children. This is paced more gently and meant for children with autism, ADHD, hyperactivity, anxiety as well as non-speaking children, and other special needs children. If you're unsure, call us and we'll help you decide.

Workshop 3: The Language Beyond Words

Is this therapy?

No. It isn't therapy and it isn't a test of any kind. It's time, held gently, for a child and parent to be close to a horse and to each other.

Does my child need a diagnosis to attend?

No. Your own description of your child is enough.

Should I tell you about my child beforehand?

Yes, please. Anything that helps us prepare is useful: how your child communicates, sensory sensitivities, and what helps them feel calm.

What if my child becomes overwhelmed?

Every child engages at their own pace, with no pressure. Your child can step back or take a break at any time, and you stay close throughout.

Will my child be photographed or filmed?

Only if you give consent, and you're free to say no.

Workshop 4: The Art of Leading

Who is this workshop for?

Professionals and leaders: founders, senior managers, team leads, and HR and L&D heads who want to see how they actually lead.

What will I learn?

Working with a horse makes leadership visible. You'll see how you respond under stress, your habitual leadership patterns, how you communicate without words, and how clearly your intention turns into action.

What is Marta's experience with leaders?

For more than 10 years she has coached with horses in the Women's Leadership Program at IMD Business School, Lausanne. She works with leaders, teams and organizations, combining coaching, systemic work and neurophysiology.

Can my company pay for it?

Yes. We can invoice your organization directly.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. You will receive a certificate of participation.

Can you run this for our team?

Yes. Write to us to discuss a closed session for your organization.
